THE HISTORY OF LIVING IMAGE ARTS

CELEBRATING 5 SEASONS
OF DEVELOPMENT, PRODUCTION AND ARTISTRY

Recent surveys have shown that only 3% of NYC Theater Companies survive to their 5th Season.  Living Image Arts has not only survived, we are changing the face of American Theater

Founded in 2003 and incorporated as a not-for profit organization in 2005, LIA is dedicated to the advancement of new work, nurturing craft and quality through production, workshops, and developmental programs. LIA's '04-'05 Season, began with our first full-length play, AWAKE by LIA Artistic Director, Peter Marsh. In the Spring, we presented our First Annual One-Act Festival, How to Lose Your Lover in Six Short Plays, which focused on the plays of emerging artists as well as the undiscovered work of more established playwrights. This partnership has become the cornerstone of the LIA Theatrical Season.   In only four short years LIA has fully produced 19 plays and has developed more than 50 new scripts through our New Works Developmental Program, New Works Staged Reading Series, First and Workshop Productions.

Since its inception, LIA has showcased the talent of hundreds of diverse and distinctive voices and consistently produces compelling and innovative new theater. As we move into the future, we will continue to bring you theater of the highest quality and hold true to our vision of artistic excellence and theater as a living and relevant art form.
